Developing the Next Generation of Community-Minded Leaders
Funded by Xelay Foundation, the Xelay Acumen Internship Program gives interns direct experience inside Xelay Acumen’s active workstreams: Consulting, Analytics, Capital, Sports Management, Property Management, and People and Joy.
The program is designed for interns who want to build professional judgment, consulting, communication, decision-making, and management skills through real assignments, direct feedback, and exposure to how disciplined execution drives outcomes for clients, partners, teams, and communities. Interns join year-round and contribute to meaningful work under the guidance of the Xelay Acumen team.
Program Overview
The Xelay Acumen Internship Program provides interns with the opportunity to contribute to real business initiatives across diverse professional workstreams. Interns gain exposure to how teams solve complex problems, analyze information, support decision-making, and execute projects that create meaningful outcomes for clients, partners, and communities.
Interns are matched to one or more workstreams based on interest, skill development goals, and team needs.
Consulting: Interns support client-facing consulting work, including structured problem-solving, research, analytics, communications, and presentation development, gaining experience in how professionals approach complex business challenges.
Analytics: Interns support pharmaceutical and clinical project work, including data cleaning, trend analysis, proportion analysis, quality checks, and structured reporting, developing an understanding of how rigorous analysis informs better decisions.
Capital: Interns support research and analysis for Xelay Capital, the firm’s investment advisory affiliate, including public-market research and financial analysis, gaining exposure to investment evaluation and market perspectives.
Sports Management: Interns support athlete representation work, including contract research, sponsorship evaluation, branding support, public relations support, and career planning coordination, learning how strategic planning creates long-term value for clients.
Property Management: Interns support guest, tenant, vendor, contractor, and business partner coordination for managed properties, gaining practical experience in operations, relationship management, and execution.
People and Joy: Interns support team culture, onboarding, training, and internal engagement initiatives across the San Mateo and Taipei offices, contributing to the experiences and systems that strengthen the organization.
Across each workstream, interns develop an understanding of how professional communication, analytical rigor, ownership, and consistent follow-through transform ideas into measurable results. Through hands-on experience, they see how professional rigor drives meaningful outcomes for clients, teams, and the organizations Xelay Acumen supports. By the end of the program, interns are equipped with communication skills, problem-solving skills, and an ownership mindset — all of which accelerate their long-term career opportunities.
